Maculan Fratta, 2013, in the Magnum format: an unmissable tasting that took place in the United States in a selection of 50 restaurants

Maculan Fratta Veneto IGT 2013 is a blend of Cabernet sauvignon and Merlot from the best vineyards of low production. The grapes are harvested manually and after a careful selection of the grapes are left in small stainless steel vats for fermentation, with frequent punching-down done during the eight days of maceration. Follows the ageing for a year in French oak barrels new.

With Brentino , and Palazzotto, Fratta is among the red wines, most exported to the United States, together with the sweet Dindarello, Torcolato and Acininobili. “The United States is our main scenario – says Angela Maculan – have reached approximately 9% of our total market and is equivalent to 30% of our foreign market. We are present since 1981, and our presence is more and more consolidated. Since 1996 we have been followed by the importer Leonardo LoCascio Selection, a member of The Winebow Group”. Abroad are also different prizes, another confirmation of the highest consideration recognized in the United States by the wines of the Winery Maculan. Above all, Acininobili 2009 scored 96/100 on the Wine Advocate of Robert Parker. Fratta 2011 and Torcolato 2010 follow him with 93 points. Over ninety points Palazzotto Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 (91/100), Brentino Veneto 2012 Dindarello Moscato Veneto 2013 (both with 90/100). Even the Wine Spectator has awarded Acininobili Veneto 2009 with 92 points, Torcolato 2010 with 91 points and Palazzotto Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 with 90/100.
