The Parco Giardino Sigurtà, that extends over an area of 600,000 sq.m, is in Valeggio sul Mincio, a few kilometres away from Lake Garda.and today it is considered as one among the most remarkable parks in the world.

The park, that was once the garden of Villa Maffei, was planned at first by a pupil of Andrea Palladio, the Pellesina. Thanks to Carlo Sigurtà, to his grandson Enzo and to their extraordinary care today we can fully enjoy its beauty and uniqueness; in fact, Carlo suceeded in turning the ancient and arid hills into a fertile soil thanks to the water of the river Mincio and Enzo planned the first prototype of the park.
After the opening to the public in 1978, the conservation of this ecological complex has been left also to the respect of its visitors who can go on enjoying this true green patrimony.

The Five Great Flowerings (Tulips, Irises, Roses, Lilies and Asters) that follow one another in different seasons, the Great Oak, the Hermitage, the eighteen small lakes full of water lilies, the Medicinal Herb Garden, the Great Lawn are just some of the Park’s natural attractions. All of them create such magnificent scenes that can give a sense of harmony and of a true inner wellbeing.

While visiting the park you can watch the miracle of the succession of the seasons and so even enrich your knowledges through the observation of rare floral species and you can be envolved in the very interesting events that periodically take place here.
The Parco Giardino Sigurtà can be visited not only on foot, but also by bike or by the magic and funny shuttle trains that cross the 7 km itinerary of its enchantments.
