Gusto Balsamico” (Aromatic Taste), the exhibition of “vinegars from all over the world and of the sweet-and-sour products” will take place in Modena, from 5th to 8th October 2007. The exhibition will be promoted by some important institutions of Modena, as the Chamber of Commerce, the Province and the municipality itself and it will be organized by ModenaFiere in collaboration with Slow Food Italia.

The exhibition will promote the traditional aromatic vinegar from Modena as its most symbolic product since it wants to increase the importance of vinegars and of the high-quality sweet-and-sour products.

“Gusto Balsamico” is a project of Slow Food Italia that has a precise aim: to enhance, protect and advertise the aromatic vinegar from Modena by educating the visitors about how to use it through clear information and an aware buying.

Modena gives hospitality to this exhibition, since in the Emilian territory you can count thousands of fans and producers who still hand down from father to son the tradition of making the “balsamico” at home, with mastery and patience.

For this reason you will certainly find, inside the exhibition, the nearly famous “Taste Laboratories” (with their peculiar tastings), two Event-Dinners (with the presence of international cooks) and 14 “Aromatic Dinners” (if you want to take part in these dinners the booking is requested).

Otherwise, if you want to “travel” among the various specialities of the Italian sweet-and-sour cooking, you can visit the “Tasting Areas” inside the Fair (Enoteca and Bistrot), where you will find the typical wines and products of the Italian traditional cooking, accompanied by the inevitable aromatic vinegar.

We really wish you a beautiful plunge in the Emilian traditions and tastes that will accompany you to discover, appreciate and taste this gastronomic “aromatic” experience.
