The “widespread hotels”: a new way to go on holiday

This time we would like to tell you about a new accomodation facility that will give you the opportunity to be alternative tourists this summer: the widespread hotel.
The widespread hotel can be defined as a “horizontal accomodation facility”, generally situated in an old town centre, with rooms and bathrooms placed in different buildings, (even if one close to another), which refer to the same reception.
Gianfranco Dall’Ara, who is the promoter of this new formula for the tourist market, points out that the widespread hotel is particularly suitable for villages and little towns that are characterized by old town centres of artistic and architectural interest.
In this way, these centres can restore and develop some of their old closed and unused buildings and, at the same time, they can avoid building new structures for solving the problem of the tourist accomodation capacity.
In short, it looks as if the widespread hotel is becoming a new way of being tourists. In Italy several plans have already been opened in order to create some places with these features. You will find a list of the reference places on the site that is constantly kept up-to-date.
In our opinion the widespread hotel could be a different way, for the tourist, to get in a close contact with the local people and organize his own holiday to improve his knowledge about the history, art, and culture of the territory that he wishes to visit.
