Thank you for having spread light over the relationship between the croissant and the brioche. The similiarity struck my as I was having breakfast (regular bread, though), and reminded me of an episode when I asked for a brioche at a coffeshop the other day. The personnel wasn't familiar with the word, although it was a supposedly italian coffeeshop. :)

The crescent moon-thing I wasn't aware of - like the story leading up to that part. Thank you! What does 'brioche' translate into?
