Florence is already in excitement for this event since 20th of April, but, given its importance, we’d like to tell you anyway, because we think it’s very enjoyable to become more conscious of what is happening at home at this time.

Also this year, Florence organised an edition (the 69th) of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, full of concerts, operas and dance. This event welcomes some prestigious names of the international musical scene, such as Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Claudio Abbado and Seiji Ozawa.

The scheduled shows, started on 20th of April, are going to go on until 23rd of June, with a very rich program, which gathers music of Verdi, Cajkovskij, Mozart, Bernstein and Ravel, always played by world-famous conductors.

Besides, there are some very interesting lectures connected to this event, inviting to a close examination of themes related to it and a deeper knowledge of international music.
