June 20th, 2006Views:2574
The greatest masterpieces of Antonello da Messina (1430-1479) are at last welcome guests at the Scuderie del Quirinale until 25th June, in an exhibition dedicated to the celebrated Sicilian painter.
For the first time a monographic exhibition is set about works and life of this artist, who is little known, because of the dearth of news about him.
We suggest that you should visit this exhibition in order to admire the 32 masterpieces of this very talented and gifted Master.
Antonello da Messina could be described as one of the South Italy’s greatest Renaissance painters and also as the most refined leading exponent of the Fleming painting in Italy.
This exhibition offers the chance to admire Antonello’s works close up and to compare them with some pieces of work by others masters of his time too. So, if you wish to get in touch with the artistry and the harmony of these extraordinary works of art…this exhibition is for you.
