We’d like to mention to you a film festival, very interesting in our opinion, about the last ten years Spanish cinema: it started at Rome on 20th March 2006 and it will end on 22nd May 2006.

Perhaps we are partisan because we have a Spanish teacher as one of our friends, but this proposal, born of the collaboration by Instituto Cervantes with FilmStudio 80, with CERVANTES Liceo and with the film library of Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores (MAE), gave shape to an original film journey in the Spanish culture.

Through this film festival, you will be able to know the leading cinema exponents of a nation like Spain, that is putting itself in the vanguard in the world, thanks to its political and social choices.

Any title? Coming soon: Icíar Bolláin’s “Hola, ¿estás sola?” (1995), Alejandro Amenábar’s films, with “Tesis” (1996), which precedes the disquieting “The Others”, Emilio Martínez Lázaro’s “El otro lado de la cama” (2002), Ángel Cruz and Manolo Gómez’s “El bosque animado” (2001) and Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón’s “La vida que te espera” (2004).

Of course, all films are in the original language, for who loves this musical language and is learning it and for who is Spanish and wants to listen to his own language again.

Then, ¡Qué disfruteis de la película!
