Well, we really must admit: we like Bologna very much and we confess you, without delay, that we also live here and we chose it as “our town”, even if we weren’t born in Bologna.

For this reason, we would like to spend some words about the Bolognese “Feste Felsinarie” (“Felsinarie Celebrations”). The name of these celebrations comes from the Etruscan ancient settlement named “Felsina”, which gave rise to the town that we nowadays know. They are expression of Bologna, that was, since Middle Ages, a point of reference for all the European culture.

Don’t forget first University was born in Bologna in 1088 and this town had always distinguished itself, especially during the period of the medieval communes, for its libertarian tradition.

The Felsinarie Celebrations give us the opportunity to refresh our memory and keep alive the history of a town that was, and we wish it to go on being, a melting pot of open minds, culture and sense of freedom.

Well, why don’t you come to visit our town during the “Feste Felsinarie” (Felsinarie Celebrations) (on 13th and 14th May) in order to have a good time and enjoy culture and spirit of a town that has so many things to tell?
